RR 018The designer’s challenge was to give the Rutherford Ranch brand a fresh, new look that would communicate “premium Napa Valley wine,” and stand-out on retail store shelves.

Retaining the existing Rutherford Ranch “red square” logo for continuity, the designer updated the logotype and supporting typography, delivering a package that melds modern and classic label elements. The olive branch element was included as an homage to the winegrower’s century-old olive grove, perhaps the most distictive feature of the property.

This redesign was done as a freelance project by WE’s designer, Eileen Anderson, prior to the founding of WEmarketwine.
